News: Oliver Stone blasts Bush

Oliver Stone blasted Prez Bush today in an awesome display of describing everything that I have thought but have been unable to get out in words.

“We have destroyed the world in the name of security,” Stone told journalists…

“From Sept. 12 on, the incident (the attacks) was politicized and it has polarized the entire world,” said Stone. “It is a shame because it is a waste of energy to see that the entire world five years later is still convulsed in the grip of 9/11.

“It’s a waste of energy away from things that do matter which is poverty, death, disease, the planet itself and fixing things in our own homes rather than fighting wars with others. Mr. Bush has set America back 10 years, maybe more.”

Exactly!

Music: Paris Hilton – "Nothing In This World" music video

AGGH! I think the world must be coming to an end. I never thought the day would ever arrive that I would say I enjoyed a Paris Hilton video and song. The song is not big deal – typical, standard pop fluff but not too bad either. However, the video was pretty funny. It isn’t ground-breaking by any means, but I uh.. I uh.. man, this is so hard to type… I actually enjoyed it. I think I just became a chick.

Books: iWoz

Okay, I’m not much of a book reader but the iWoz book has definitely caught my eye and I just ordered it from Amazon ($15!). Looks like it should definitely be a good read!

Sports: Terrell Owens tries to commit suicide

Okay, so Terrell Owens, Mr. Flamboyant, of the Dallas Cowboys apparently tried to kill himself today by overdosing on pain medication.

Maybe his hamstring injury that he supposedly injured in training camp just hurt too much for him to take and he was just trying to dull the pain. Oh wait, I guess this negates that:

The report said Owens was asked by rescue workers “if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, ‘Yes.”‘ [si.com]

Another example of someone having skills that are wasted and too much money that they cannot handle. I will laugh my butt off if it comes out that he complains that all the attention and press he gets drove him to commit suicide considering all the stunts he pulls to GET people’s attention and the news writing about it.

I honestly have no sympathy for him just like I have no sympathy for all those Hollywood stars that complain about not being able to get any privacy and get all annoyed with the papparazzi. Wah wah wah!!! Here’s a penny.

17:13 EST – UPDATE – Terrell is now denying claims that he was trying to commit suicide. He is blaming it on an allergic reaction to mixing painkillers with supplements. Ooookay, T.O.

TV: Studio 60

Okay, so I figured with the all-star cast in Studio 60 it would be a fairly decent show. Well, so far I am wrong. This show SUCKS! I’m not even going to justify my statement. I’ll let the show speak for itself. And, the fact that it is on NBC it also feels like some lame attempt at a biography for Saturday Night Live.

TV: It’s TV season premier time!

Great, it is TV season premier time and I don’t have time to watch all these shows. The Tivo is working OT!

I did start watching the season premier of Grey’s Anatomy last night after I got home from work… at 11:00p. Only saw about 8 minutes of it, tho since I was too tired to stay awake.

The season premiers of The Simpsons and Family Guy were good. I love potty humor!

House has been okay. The plots have not been that “edge of the seat” this season. Plus, I am getting tired of the plot line focusing on House’s ‘repaired’ leg. Cameron’s hair this season is wonky. Dunno how they think it makes her look better — it was way better last season when it was semi curly.

Misc: 4 Pitchers of Beer and Chinese Males do not mix

Well, if you are a Chinese male and drink 4 pitchers of beer, stay away from Pandas. I think 3 pitchers will be okay, tho.

“He felt a sudden urge to touch the panda with his hand” and jumped over a waist-high railing down into the enclosure, the newspaper said. “When he got closer and was undiscovered, he reached out to hug it.”

Startled, Gu Gu bit Zhang in the right leg, it said. Zhang, a 35-year-old migrant laborer from central Henan province, got angry and kicked the panda, who then bit his other leg. A tussle ensued, the paper said.

Too bad there isn’t video of that. I find it funny that there is a picture of a panda for the WWF (World Wildlife Federation) logo. It REALLY is the World Wrestling Federation!
