Okay, so I figured with the all-star cast in Studio 60 it would be a fairly decent show. Well, so far I am wrong. This show SUCKS! I’m not even going to justify my statement. I’ll let the show speak for itself. And, the fact that it is on NBC it also feels like some lame attempt at a biography for Saturday Night Live.

TV: It’s TV season premier time!
Posted in TV on September 22, 2006 by rantsofatwinkieGreat, it is TV season premier time and I don’t have time to watch all these shows. The Tivo is working OT!
I did start watching the season premier of Grey’s Anatomy last night after I got home from work… at 11:00p. Only saw about 8 minutes of it, tho since I was too tired to stay awake.
The season premiers of The Simpsons and Family Guy were good. I love potty humor!
House has been okay. The plots have not been that “edge of the seat” this season. Plus, I am getting tired of the plot line focusing on House’s ‘repaired’ leg. Cameron’s hair this season is wonky. Dunno how they think it makes her look better — it was way better last season when it was semi curly.
TV: The Roast of William Shatner
Posted in TV on August 21, 2006 by rantsofatwinkieThe Roast of Willian Shatner has to be one of the funniest roasts I’ve seen in a while. Definitely worthwhile to watch.
TV: Saved
Posted in TV on August 8, 2006 by rantsofatwinkieI watch way too much TV. But, there has actually been so many shows that are pretty good. Some of our favorites during the regular season are CSI (the original), House, and 24. I used to watch Law and Order (the original) pretty religiously but have not watched it much the last 2 seasons since they had that new assistance DA to Jack McCoy.
During the summer I typically did not watch too much TV since summer time usually = repeats and no new shows.
However, channels are trying to make TV viewing an all year affair. Two shows we’ve been watching are Monk and recently Saved (starring Tom Everett Scott – the dude from “That Thing You Do”). We happened to be flipping channels last weekend and TNT had a “Saved” marathon and we got hooked.
We currently have 2 Tivos. I feel like we need 2 more.
There are actually shows that we will not watch just so that we do not get sucked in – such as Desperate Housewives and Lost. It is a good thing we do not get HBO because I would probably get sucked into The Sopranos. Too many shows, too little time!
